Junior Church

Junior Church is for all children, everyone is welcome even for a visit or a short time. We offer an age appropriate look at Jesus, his teachings and the Bible.
Resources from Roots children and young people are used to help prepare a 45 minute session, including a prayer, Bible story and simple art or craft activity. The atmosphere for Junior Church is friendly, safe and informal.

We encourage children and adults to bring along their individual interests and talents to show or share with us at Junior Church. Things like music, computer skills, art and poetry or a special interest in something, make for a fun session! Toy boxes are put out for younger children.

All children begin the morning in the 10.30am service with their families and are then invited to leave after a couple of hymns and a children's address.

Parents are welcome to accompany their children if they would like to. Junior Church is optional; in the church there is a children's area with toys, a drawing table and books so the whole family can feel comfortable remaining in church.

Junior Church takes place in the Hall next to the church.

Junior Church finishes at the same time as the church service after which everyone is welcome to stay for refreshments and chat.
On the third Sunday of each month, instead of Junior Church we stay in the church for an All Age Service. Junior Church is offered on all other Sundays.

Junior Church leaders are DBS cleared and along with the creche helpers, all have up to date safe-guarding training.
